Abraham Aguilar

Abraham Aguilar, age 84, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.

His body was cremated. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Abraham was born on March 16, 1932 in Loraine, Texas to Luis and Refugia (Rodriguez) Aguilar. He worked as a landscaper for many years and also worked at the Mitchell County Hospital in Colorado City. He married Manuela Nellie Sauceda on May 6, 1961 in Loraine, Texas. He was Catholic.

He is survived by two daughters, Nellie Ann Aguilar of Sweetwater, Texas, and Mary Helen Aguilar and Rafael Torres of Snyder, Texas, five grandchildren, D.J. Vanderpool, Ashley Silva, Dominic Vanderpool, Jazmine Delacruz and Dalila Aguilar, nine great grandchildren, sister, Matilda Perez of California and brother, Jessie Rodriguez of Colorado City, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Manuela (Nellie) S. Aguilar, his parents, Luis & Refugia Aguilar, and numerous brothers and sisters.
