Bobby Raye Wallace

Bobby Raye Wallace, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at his residence.

As per his wishes, his body was cremated. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Bryson Wallace officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Bobby was born on April 29, 1934 in Munday, Texas to Lonnie and Mary Lois (Sterling) Wallace. He married Veda Ruth Taylor on September 22, 1956 in Abilene, Texas. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and also served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked for Martin Sign Company and USG as a security guard for many years before he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Veda Ruth Wallace of Sweetwater, son, Bobby Dale Wallace of Sweetwater, three daughters, Deronda Jean Owen and husband Don of Tucson, Arizona, Diana Bloodworth and husband Clay of Sweetwater, and Raye Gail Wallace of Idalou, Texas, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and brother, Danny Charles Wallace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Mary Lois Wallace, and sister, Helen Bradford.
