Don Romine

Don Romine, age 66, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Hendrick Hospice Care Center. .

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lindell Hix officiating. Burial will follow at Decker Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, 8:30 AM until service time.

Don was born on July 28, 1950 in Rotan, Texas to Mathie (Shorty) and Alma Marie (Gaston) Romine. He married Judy Hartgraves on August 2, 1969 in Sweetwater, Texas. He worked as a mechanic and senior operator for TXU for many years before retiring. He was a Baptist. He was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Romine of Sweetwater, Texas, son, Michael Romine of Sweetwater, Texas, and sister, Sheila Hayes and husband Dan of Blackwell, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Sherry Romine.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Schlueter, Shad Schlueter, Kelly Hayes, Nathan Hayes, Steven Hayes, and Kerry Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Crenshaw, Shawn Schlueter,  Shannon Schlueter and Justin Delano.
