Floyd Russell

Floyd Russell, age 57, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center.

As per his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Saylors officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Floyd was born on November 22, 1958 in Coolidge, Arizona to Robert and Dorothy (Newman) Russell. He married Patsy Frazier Pugh on April 1, 2010 in Eastland, Texas. He worked as a construction worker for Tommy Ammons.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Pugh Russell of Sweetwater, Texas, step-son, Brooks Whisenant and wife Shalisa of Sweetwater, Texas; daughter, Aja Chandler of Robert Lee, Texas, son, Brandon Russell and wife Armonda of Bedford, Indiana, former wife, Debbie Duke of Kerens, Texas, seven grandchildren, Whitney Whisenant, Makenzee Whisenant, Lexi Russell, Kaden Chandler, Hunter Russell, Jude Russell, and Jace Chandler, two brothers, Doyle Russell and wife Mona of Lubbock, Texas, and Ray Russell and wife Peggy of Eastland, Texas, two sisters, Pat Sims of Brownfield, Texas, and Gleda Jackson and husband Gary of Rankin, Texas, sister-in-law, Shayrn Russell of Alba, Texas, brother-in-law, Ira Kirby of Lubbock, Texas, and several nieces and nephews, including Dana Owens of Sweetwater, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Russell, brother, Robert Eugene Russell, sister, Linda Joyce Kirby, niece, Suzanne Kirby and brother-in-law, Freddie Simms.
