Primo O. Gutierrez, Jr.

Primo Gutierrez, Jr., age 62, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Gutierrez and Frank Ortega officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

Primo was born on July 13, 1955 in Sweetwater, Texas to Primo Gutierrez, Sr. and Soledad (Ovalle) Gutierrez. He was a self-employed landscaper. He loved his family and he also loved to go camping. He was a member of Calvario Baptist Church. He married Missy Long on April 29, 2004 In Sweetwater, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Missy Gutierrez of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Yolanda Jones of Houston, Texas, and Shirley Marie Gutierrez of Sweetwater, Texas, six grandchildren, two sisters, Frances Serrano and husband Carlos of Sweetwater, Texas, and Mary Ann Flores and husband Larry of Sweetwater, Texas, two brothers, Frank Gutierrez and wife Elida of Sweetwater, Texas, and Rudy Gutierrez and Mary Wheeler of Sweetwater, Texas, aunt, Rosa Alvarado of Sweetwater, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog, Blondie and her family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Primo and Soledad Gutierrez, Sr., nephew, Mario Garza, and sister-in-law, Janie Gutierrez.

Pallbearers will be Joe Rendon, Carlitos Serrano, Mario Noel Adams, Anthony Garza, Chris Jones, and Chris Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tylan Tucker and Elijah Jones.
