Rosalio Rosas

Rosalio Rosas, age 86, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his residence.

A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Lupe Medellin.

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Rosalio was born on September 6, 1931 in Martindale, Texas to Juan and Luz (Chagolla) Rosas. He worked for SISD for many years before retiring. He married Josephine Guerrero on October 9, 1954 in Colorado City, Texas. He had been a resident of Sweetwater, Texas since 1970 moving from Loraine, Texas. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Rosas of Sweetwater, Texas, four sons, Charlie Rosas and wife Norma, Ricky Rosas, Paul Rosas, and Tony Rosas, all of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Linda Garza and husband Julian and Cruz Sandy Rosas, all of Sweetwater, Texas, four sisters, Flora Rosas, Julie Rodriguez, and Maria Puentes, all of Sweetwater, Texas and Anna Rosas of El Paso, Texas, and two brothers, Juan Rosas, Jr. and Domingo Rosas, both of Sweetwater, Texas, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan & Luz Rosas, daughter, Yolanda Rosas, and two brothers, Mike Rosas, and Moses Rosas.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Rosas, Jr., Kevin Rosas, Adrian Rosas, P.J. Garza, Devin Moncada, and Tommy Jimenez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Julian Garza, Fabian Venzor, Noah Garza and Timothy Solis.
