Sandra Valdez (Ornelas) Vaughan

Sandra Valdez Vaughan, age 54, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Emmanuel Fellowship Church with Rev. Loran Rule and Rev. Raul Ortiz officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.

Sandra was born on August 13, 1963 in Sweetwater, Texas. She married David Vaughan on August 11, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. She was a SHS graduate. She worked as a paraprofessional for Sweetwater ISD.  She was a devoted wife, mother and Noni. Her family was the joy of her life.

She is survived by her husband, David Vaughan of Sweetwater, Texas, mother, Georgia Ornelas of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Monica Valdez and Jason Blueford of Sweetwater, Texas, and Angela Flores and Rick of San Angelo, Texas, three grandchildren, Roman Camacho, Mason Blueford, and Georgia Blueford, two sisters, Julia Tovias of Sweetwater, Texas, and Angie Olson and husband Derek of Hillsboro, Texas, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends and her special chihuahua, "Bumblebee".

She was preceded in death by her father - Espiridion Ornelas, three brothers, Rudy Ornelas, Eddie Ornelas and Ruben Ornelas, sister, Naomi Ornelas, brother-in-law, Bobby Tovias, and nephew, Jason Tovias.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Bledsoe, Eddie Ornelas, Arthur Ramirez, Matthew Figueroa, Steve Ortiz, and Timothy Ortiz.

Honorary pallbearer will be Semei Ornelas and Christian Ornelas.
