Sharon (Farquhar) Stearnes

Sharon Stearnes, age 68, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Hendrick Hospice Center in Abilene, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Roscoe Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Shipp officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangement are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Sharon was born on May 19, l948 in Robstown, Texas to Dale and Pearl (Lusk) Farquhar. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was longtime resident of Nolan County.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Douglas and husband Mark , two sons, Jeff Farquhar and wife Becky , and Jimmy Don Farquhar, all of Sweetwater, Texas, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister, Mary Lou Lacy and husband John of Wurtsboro, New York,  brother, Henry Dale Farquhar of Sweetwater, Texas. 

She was preceded in death by her father Dale Farquhar and mother, Pearl Farquhar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendrick Diabetes Association, l742 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
