Maria E. Aguilera-Marquez

Maria E. Aguilera-Marquez, age 51, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas.  

A rosary will be held 7:30 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish recited by Lupe Medellin.  

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Josh Gray officiating.  Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Maria was born on January 2, 1973 in La Concepcion, GTO, Mexico to Alfredo and Beatriz (Alvarez) Aguilera.  She married Francisco Marquez on 1992 in Arlington, Texas.  She worked as a foreign language teacher for Arlington ISD.  She was a Catholic.  

She is survived by her husband, Francisco Marquez of Arlington, Texas, daughter, Yulisa Marquez of Arlington, Texas, adoptive son, Fernando Zamarripa, father, Alfredo Aguilera of Arlington, Texas, brother, Gerardo Aguilera of Arlington, Texas, five sisters, Catalina Rosquero and husband Jesus of Arlington, Texas, Andrea Aguilera and husband Facundo Rico of Sweetwater, Texas, Olivia Aguilera of Arlington, Texas, Effie Aguilera and husband Misael Rosquero of Arlington, Texas, Carmen Aguilera and husband Octavio Cobos of North Richland Hills, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatriz Aguilera, and grandparents, Quintin Alvarez & Rita Romero.  

Pallbearers will be Jose Guadalupe Marquez, Jose Antonio Marquez, Fernando Zamarripa, Misael Rosquero, Octavio Cobos, and Gabriel Marquez.
