Brigido DeLaCruz

Brigido DeLaCruz, Jr., age 72, of Loraine, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019.

A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel in Sweetwater, Texas recited by Juanita Venezuela.

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 10, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loraine, Texas with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow at Loraine Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Brigido was born on May 19, 1947 in Robstown, Texas to Brigido and Rosa (Miranda) DeLaCruz. He worked as a maintenance keeper for DBI Services. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved to work in his yard and he also liked to have a project of building something or refinishing a piece of furniture. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. Brigido was a loving brother and uncle and will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Rosa Espinoza of Loraine, Texas, brothers, Arthur DeLaCruz of Loraine, Texas, George Miranda DeLaCruz of Hobart, Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Betty DeLaCruz of Norman, Oklahoma, nephew, Edward Rosas and wife Sydney of Abilene, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two nieces.

Pallbearers will be Luis Hernandez, Mathew Molina, Joe Limones, Mike DeLoera, Casey Casarez, Frank Casarez, Louis Garza and Blayne Lester.
