Jesus Cecilio (Cecil) Villa

Jesus Cecilio (Cecil) Villa, age 81, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Hendrick Hospice Care Center in Abilene, Texas.

Per his wishes, his body was cremated. A memorial rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 16, 2019 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Janie Davila. A memorial mass will be held 10:00 A.M, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Jesus Cecilio Villa was born on March 26, 1938 in Sweetwater, Texas. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.  He married Angelina Perales on October 13, 1962 in Colorado City, Texas. He worked as an oil gauger for Standard Oil of Ohio for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Angelina Villa of Sweetwater, Texas; two sons, Patrick Villa and wife April of Frisco, Texas, and Dominic Villa of Sweetwater, Texas; four grandchildren, Avery Villa, Kenley Villa, Zachary Villa, and Christian Villa; and one sister, Celia Johnson of Abilene, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister, and one brother.
