Mary Ann (Sauceda) Mendez

Mary Ann Mendez, age 79, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish Church with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Mary Ann was born on April 17, 1940 in Ballinger, Texas to Floyd and Maria (Calazada) Sauceda. She married Jose Maria Mendez on December 15, 1963, in Loraine, Texas . She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. She worked as a CNA at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital before retiring.

She is survived by her son, Joe Mendez and wife Maria of Sweetwater, Texas; two grandsons, Jacob Mendez of Sweetwater, Texas and Caleb Mendez and wife Cossandra of Dickinson, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Maria Sauceda, husband, Jose Maria Mendez, Sister, Nellie Aguilar, and brother, Floyd Sauceda, Jr.
