Arlice Maxine (McFaul) Heffernan, age 88, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Ray Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Arlice was born on October 15, 1924 to G.B. and Cleo (Perry) McFaul. She was a lifetime resident of Nolan county. She was a LVN who worked for Simmons Hospital and the nursing homes before retiring. She was a Baptist and a member of American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.
She is survived by her son, Lonnie Heffernan and wife Vivian of Sweetwater, Texas; two granddaughers, Kelly Putnam and husband Bennie of Sweetwater, and Jana Michaeliski and husband Kenny of Wisconsin; grandson, Shane Heffernan & wife Beth of Denton; five great grandsons; two great granddaughters; one great great granddaughter; and four great great grandsons; host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.B. and Cleo McFaul; husband Otis Heffernan in 1958, son, James Lee Heffernan in 1985, four sisters; two brothers; one nephew; and one great nephew.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
