Barbara Ann Keeney

Barbara Ann Keeney, age 86, of Stephenville, Texas(Longtime resident of Sweetwater, Texas), passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026 in Stephenville, Texas.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 9:30AM to service time.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 22, 2026 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Basye and Billy Snider officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Ranch Cemetery in Coleman County, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Barbara Ann Snider was born on December 10, 1939 in Coleman, Texas, to James and Nota (McQueen) Snider. She was a high school graduate from Mozelle High School. She married Cecil Keeney on May 5, 1961 in Brownwood, Texas. She worked at Nolan County-City Library for many years before retiring. She was longtime faithful member of 4th & Elm Church of Christ. She had been a resident of Sweetwater for over forty five years before moving to Stephenville, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Greg Keeney and wife Wendy of Stephenville, Texas; granddaughter, Sara Keeney of Phoenix, Arizona, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Keeney, parents, James and Nota Snider, and brother, Vance Snider.
