Carolyn Sue (King) Grimes

Carolyn Sue Grimes, age 62, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her residence.

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Broadway Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Stephens officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born on June 19, 1955 in Denver City, Texas to R.L. and Dovie Waldine (Rains) King. She married Richard Grimes on August 13, 1986 in Snyder, Texas. She was a Baptist and worked as a waitress for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Grimes of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Joyce Tillman and husband Tony of Sweetwater, Texas, and Jaime Sifford of Sweetwater, Texas, step-daughter, Aimee Vanpelt of Thomasville, Pennsylvania, two step-sons, Michael Grimes of York, Pennsylvania, and Bradley Grimes of North Dakota, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
