In Loving Memory of Cheyenne Dale Cook

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kathy Monroe officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Cheyenne Dale Cook was born on December 28, 2003, to Michelle and Billy Cook. From an early age, Cheyenne was known for being a hard worker, dependable, and someone his family and loved ones could always count on.

After graduating from Pond Creek-Hunter High School in Pond Creek, Oklahoma, Cheyenne began his career with API as an X-ray technician. Through his dedication and strong work ethic, he eventually became a loyal employee of Acren Inspection, where he had the privilege of working alongside his father, Billy Cook.

Cheyenne had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, trap shooting, skeet shooting, and sporting clays. He found joy in being outside, spending time with family, and making memories doing the things he loved.

Above all else, Cheyenne took the greatest pride in being a father, a husband, and a provider. His thoughtfulness, love, and unwavering loyalty were deeply cherished by his wife and fiancée, Nayeli Mendoza. Together, they shared a love that became an important part of Cheyenne’s life and legacy.

His greatest joy, however, was his daughter, Victoria Cheyenne Cook. Becoming a father gave Cheyenne a love and purpose that was unlike anything else. He treasured every moment with his little girl and took great pride in watching her grow. In his final days, some of his most precious moments were spent simply being with Victoria and Nayeli, watching Victoria “blow raspberries,” hearing her little sounds, and soaking in the moments that meant everything to him.

Victoria was Cheyenne’s little girl, but she was also his legacy. The love he had for her was evident in everything he did and in the dreams he carried for her future. Though he was not given the opportunity to watch her grow up, the love he gave her will remain a part of her forever. She will always carry his name, his love, and a piece of him with her.

Cheyenne was also a beloved little brother and brother-in-law to Briana and Stephan Cotton. He loved teasing his big sister, often talking about the times he would storm into her room just to annoy her-a simple memory that captures the playful bond they shared.

Cheyenne will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his loyalty, his love of the outdoors, and, most importantly, the love he had for his family. His time was far too short, but the life he lived and the love he gave will continue through Nayeli and, most of all, through his beautiful daughter, Victoria.

Cheyenne's greatest legacy is the love he left behind. In Victoria, that love will continue to grow, live, and be carried forward for generations to come.

Forever a beloved son, brother, husband, father and friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Nelda Davenport, his aunt, Pam Davenport Nagel and his grandfather, Roland Ray.
