Cynthia Rae-Ruth Konze

Cynthia Rae-Ruth Konze, age 73, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Her wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Cynthia was born on February 14, 1952 in New York, New York to Lycurgus Ray and Edna Mae (Allen) Roman. She was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. She worked as a computer programmer for many years before retiring. Cynthia married Robert Lee Konze on February 14, 2010 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a Christian.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Konze of Sweetwater, Texas; children, two sons, Neil Kalinowski, and Jonathan Dawson, and three daughters, Kim Coe, Rebecca Thatcher and Jennifer Konze; grandchildren, Guinevere Kalinowski, Jake Coe, Abigail Dawson, Grace Dever, Hope Dever, Faith Dever, and Joy Dever; and brother, Jack Roman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lycurgus Ray and Edna Mae Roman, brother, John Roman and sister, Kathy Blake.
