Earl Lee Collins, age 69, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 26,

2010 at Hendrick Medical Center .

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. , Saturday , May 29, 2010 at Cate-Spencer &

Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Baker officiating. Burial will follow

at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Earl was born on September 16, 1940 in El Paso, Texas . He married Elmira

Ochoa in 1977 in Sweetwater , Texas . He worked as a machinist for

Allen Machine Shop in Roscoe , Texas . He was a member of Sweetwater Rifle

and Pistol Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Elmira Collins of Sweetwater , Texas ; (2) Daughters –

Sonya Collins of Sweetwater , TX and Misty Collins of Abilene , TX ; (2) Sons –

Steven Collins of Houston , TX and Perry Collins of Plainview , Texas , (2)

Step-sons – Phillip Martinez of Austin , Texas and Daniel Martinez of Sweetwater,

TX, Several Grandchildren, (1) Brother – Dick Collins of Abilene , TX , and (1)

Sister –Elaine Wright of Midland , TX

He was preceded in death by his parents – C.E. (Charlie)Collins, Jr. and Nora Collins.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Martinez, Oscar Garcia, Jr., Elmo Ramos, Pat Ramos,

James Barber, and Lorenzo Rangel.
