Eddie Joe Roley

Eddie Joe Roley, age 96, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Sterling Hills Rehab.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Hills officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Eddie was born on October 23, 1929 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Reuben Russell Roley and Bessie Delilah (Duvall) Roley. He married the love of his life, Rachel Mae Bailey on June 24, 1950 in Sweetwater, Texas. He worked for Dow Chemical for a number of years and also worked as a butcher for Safeway before retiring. He had been a resident of Sweetwater since 2000 coming from Farmington, New Mexico.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Mae Tennant of Sweetwater, Texas, Terry Romero of Russellville, Arkansas, and Leanna Draker of Point MacKenzie, Alaska; his son, Bobby Roley of Sweetwater, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchlldren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Mae Roley, his parents; his son, Gary Roley; and five sisters.
