Enrique "Henry" DeLoera, Jr. was born on July 29, 1957 in Loraine, Texas to Enrique DeLoera, Sr. and Maria (Sanchez) DeLoera. He married Sylvia Gomez on November 5, 1977 in Loraine, Texas. He was a Master Carpenter by trade but possessed a wide range of skills across many disciplines. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He lived by his own rules, loved with his whole heart, and left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. A rebel in the truest sense, he never pretended to be anything other than himself-and that authenticity was one of his greatest gifts & made him the best storyteller with friends -“too many”. His love was steady, protective, and deeply unconditional. He carried an old-school hippie soul: long on wisdom, short on patience for nonsense, and always guided by family, love, and personal freedom. He found joy in simple things, questioned authority, and lived life on his own terms, unapologetically. He was a rebel with a kind heart, he rocked and rolled wherever he went. His laughter, his stories, and his unmistakable presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the lessons he taught and the love he gave. He leaves behind a family forever shaped by his love. Though he may be gone from this world, his legacy of love, freedom, and authenticity will never fade. Rest in heaven. You did it your way-and it was beautiful.
