Estella (Perez) Gomez, age 95, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 surrounded by family.

A prayer service will be held 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M., recited by Deacon David Mendez.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bill Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Maria Estella Perez was born on September 12, 1929 in Paint Rock, Texas to Flavio M. and Maria Refugia Hernandez Perez. She married Robert H. Gomez on June 21, 1949. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.

She is survived by her sons, Samuel Gomez and wife Antonia of San Angelo, Texas and Ricky Gomez of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Angela Gonzales, John B. (Roo) Abalos and Eddie Torres; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Flavio and Maria Perez; husband Robert H. Gomez; two sons, Robert Gomez, Jr. and Roger Gomez; granddaughter, Jennifer Gomez; grandson, Christopher Gomez; two brothers and two sisters.
