Ester Ramirez Cantu

Ester Ramirez Cantu, age 75, of Roscoe, Texas, (Former resident of Petersburg, Texas) passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her residence.

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Ester was born on September 16, 1950 in Petersburg, Texas to Agapito and Julia (Galinda) Ramirez. She married Andy (Andres) Cantu on June 12, 1975 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Herrera and husband Edward of Roscoe, Texas; son, Andy Cantu, Jr. and wife Brandy of San Angelo, Texas; four grandchildren, Justin Herrera, Lauren Herrera, Jonathan Herrera, and Lincoln Herrera; sisters, Epifania Gorostiza, Lola Ramirez, and her twin sister, Mabel Navarro; sister-in-law, Olivia Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy (Andres) Cantu; parents, Agapito and Julia Ramirez; son, Angel Cantu, sisters, Maria Minor, Patty Gonzalez, and Chavela Adams; brother, Lorenzo Ramirez; sisters-in-law, Julia Navarro, Eulalia Martinez and Louisa Rodriguez and brothers-in-law, Amado Cantu and Richard Cantu.
