Eva M. Tatum, age 64, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Abilene, Texas.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. to service time.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 26, 2025 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clint Appling officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Eva was born on March 18, 1961 in Paris, Texas, to A.J. and Patricia Nan (McQueen) Smith. She married Edwin (Eddie) Tatum in Abilene, Texas. She was a member of First Apostolic Tabernancle. She worked for Ludlum's Measurements for many years before retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Tatum of Abilene, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Torrez and husband Charlie of Gorman, Texas, son, Jay Thomason and wife Megan of Spur, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother, Pat McQueen Boiles of Sweetwater, Texas; sisters, Brenda Tyler and husband Carl of Sweetwater, Texas, Theresa Ann Smith of Sweetwater, Texas, and Mary Elizabeth Smith of Tye, Texas, brother, Jody Shane Jones and Tina Allen of Sweetwater; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Ruby Jean Bates, and mother-in-law, Patricia Tatum.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends, Ike Torrez, Reid Torrez, Tyler Johnson, Anthony Montoya, Kyle Montoya, and Chris Evans.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandson, Jaylon Thomason, and Rev. Allen Harris, Rev. Richard Maxwell, Rev. Larry Baird, Rev. Shannon Baird, Rev. Clint Appling, Rev. Rob Casas, Rev. Ernie McLean, Rev. Mike Bingham, Rev. Jimmy Maxwell, and Rev. Dale Bostic.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Apostolic Tabernacle, P.O. Box 1018, Sweetwater, Texas 79556, or charity of one's choice.
