James Shute
July 11, 1935 — June 18, 2012
James Shute, age 76, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 22, 2012 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Frankie Santiago officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
James was born on July 11, 1935 in Call, Texas. He married Mavies Parker on December 12, 1952 in Roscoe, Texas. He was a truck driver for thirty years working for Gypsum Transport.
He is survived by his wife, Mavies Parker of Sweetwater, Texas; three daughters, Sherri Simmons of Sweetwater, Texas; Lynda Gavit and husband Wayne of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Mavies Morton of Abilene, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
