Jesus (Jesse) S. De Leon, Jr.

Jesus (Jesse) De Leon, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.

A prayer service will be held 6:30 P.M., Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M., recited by Deacon David Mendez.

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be l:00 P.M., Friday, July 4, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Josh Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent FuneraL Home.

Jesse was born on September 5, 1958 in Haskell, Texas, to Jesus R. Deleon, Sr. and Irene (Soto) De Leon. He married Erlinda De Leon in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years and also for the Wind Turbines. He also owned and operated J R Tire Shop. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Erlinda De Leon of Sweetwater, Texas; daughter, Mary Elizabeth De Leon of Colorado City, Texas; sons, Elias DeLeon and Jesus (J.J.) De Leon, III, both of Sweetwater, Texas; eight granddaughters, nine grandsons; nineteen great granddaughters, seven great grandsons; sisters, Irma DeLeon, Ortencia De Leon, Gloria Sarabia, Sara De Leon, Cindy De Leon; brothers, Dennis De Leon, Robert De Leon, Joe De Leon, and Rudolfo De Leon; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus R. De Leon, Sr. and Irene De Leon, sister, Juanita De Leon, and nephew, Chris De Leon.

Pallbearers will be Neco De Leon, Jeremiah De Leon, Jordan De Leon, Santiago Reyna, Armando De Leon, and Joe Angel Reyna, Jr..

Honorary pallbearers will be Fabian Reyna, Jesus De Leon, IV, and Patrick Reyna.
