Jimmy Howard Bex

Jimmy Howard Bex, age 83 of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring, Texas.

His wishes were to be cremated. A memorial graveside will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Abilene, Texas with Air Force Chaplain officiating and with the Dyess Air Force Base Honor Guard. Entombment will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born on October 30, 1934 in Olustee, Oklahoma to Willard and Murl (Jenkins) Bex. He married Winona Lanelle Alston on January 3, 1958 in Sweetwater, Texas. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Liz Arenivaz and husband Manuel of Roscoe, Texas, son, James Bex and wife Mary of Shreveport, Louisiana, grandchildren, Tanner McGlothlin and wife Caitlyn, and Ty McGlothlin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Winona Lanelle Bex, and brothers, Malcolm Bex and Billy Bex.
