It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Juanita Harbuck of Sweetwater, Texas who departed this life on May 24, 2026 at the age of 88.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel in Sweetwater, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Juanita Marie Hector was born on June 13, 1937 in Callahan County, Texas, to Melvin and Ozella Marie (Gardner) Hector. Juanita lived a full life. She worked in factories and as a housekeeper for many years. Juanita loved the Lord and attended Church faithfully with her beloved husband, Bruce.
Whether Juanita was going to Church or to the store, she was perfectly dressed. She was known for her pressed skinny jeans and Jesus T-shirts. She always took great pride in her appearance with styled hair and flawless make up. She never missed her weekly appointment at the Beauty Shop! She loved everything kitties-kitty clocks, kitty socks, and kitty calendars! Her home was adorned with kitty decor.
Above all else, Juanita’s greatest joy was in the love of her life, Bruce. Married in 1990, they enjoyed 35 years of marriage before he passed away in 2025. She was a devoted wife and they enjoyed traveling, old country music, and daily conversations together at the kitchen table. Juanita was an adored “Mamaw” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always asking them, “what do you know?”
Juanita is survived by her son Randy Bradberry of Texas; two step-sons Toby Harbuck and wife Stephanie of Tuscola, Texas and Tony Harbuck and wife Tara of Ropesville, Texas; seven grandchildren, Sara Clay, Kyle Bradberry, Emma, Garrett, Savannah, Tyler, and Taylen Harbuck; and three great grandchildren, Tayvien Clay, Kiyah Clay, and Kylany Bradberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ozella Hector; husband, Bruce Harbuck; and sisters Shirley Ann and Linda Sue.
