Lucille Jones, age 87, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
Lucille was born on March 5, 1924 in Chillicothe, Texas to John Henry and Mattie Morris.
She married Cleveland Ray Jones on September 3, 1939 in Quanah, Texas. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Wayne Jones, I and wife Kathy; and Truman Jones, all of Sweetwater, Texas; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Pat Morris of Sweetwater, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Mattie Morris; husband, Cleveland Ray Jones; daughter, Claudia Louise Holt; three sons, Jimmy Lloyd Jones, Boyd Ray Jones and G.W. Jones; daugther-in-law, Joyce Jones; two grandchildren, Hazel Jones and Aubrey Dewayne Jones; two brothers and seven sisters.
