Mike was born on September 21, 1966, and was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater. He was a graduate of Sweetwater High School, a devoted Catholic, a hardworking man, and someone who never met a stranger.
Mike was known for his signature style. He was rarely seen without a polo shirt, a hat, and some gold jewelry. He loved baseball, boxing, and golf, and he especially enjoyed the years he spent working alongside his father and sister in the family bail bond business. Whether he was watching a game, sharing stories, or laughing with family, Mike had a presence that could fill a room. His loud, infectious laugh was one of the many things those who loved him will never forget.
Despite everything, family was at the center of Mike’s life. He cherished his role as a son, brother, and uncle but being a father brought him tremendous joy, and he loved his children deeply.
Mike is survived by his mother, Oralia (Arlene) Alvarado; his children Mikey Alvarado, Chelsea Alvarado, and Roman Cain Alvarado, and Destiny Jones, Sergio Ray Flores and Javier Geordan Xavier Flores. As well as his brother, A.B. Alvarado Jr. and wife Elena; his sister, Mikki Carey and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Abelardo A. Alvarado, and his sister, Vickie Alvarado-Lee.
Mike will be remembered for his laughter, his love for family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Pallbearers will be Michael (Mikey) Alvarado, Roman Cain Alvarado, Serigo Ray Flores, Oscar Hernandez, Jr., John Alvarado, Jr. and Wesley Harris.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Braxton Flores and Adrian Medina.
