Penny Baucom, age 62, of Nolan, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Petree officiating. Burial will follow at Blackwell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Penny was born on August 9, 1951 in Dickson, Tennessee. She married Stephen Baucom on June 26, 1969 in Sweetwater, Texas. She worked as the business manager for Blackwell CISD for many years before retiring. She was a member of Nolan United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She attended every event that her children and grandchildren were in.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Baucom of Nolan, Texas, two daughters, Heather Sanderson and husband James and Stepheny Hardy and husband Shawn, all of Blackwell, Texas, five grandchildren, Halee, Emilee, and Lilee Sanderson, Douglas and Drew Hardy of Blackwell, Texas, one brother, Gary Mitchell Fleet and wife Maggie of Dickson, Tennessee; and numerous cousins and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.T. and Betty Baucom.
Pallbearers will be Bill McMasters, Brad Street, Alan Byers, J.D. Miller, Johnny M. Ussery, Jr., and JoeBob Ussery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Butman Methodist Camp, 158 CR 674, Merkel, Texas 79536.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M..
