L. worked as a foreman for U.S. Gypsum. After 40 years, he retired and spent his retirement years fishing, gardening attending EVERY Mustang football game and traveling the country with Patsy and his grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater, Texas for sixty seven years and a Baptist. R.L. devoted his life to his family as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and great grandfather. From Hosting countless Boiles family reunions to teaching the youngins how to fish and taking everyone out for fun on the boat, it was always clear that family was what mattered most to him. As a Christian Man with a strong spiritual connection to his wife, it is no surprise to anyone that he was called home on her birthday.
