Rita Jean Dow, age 81, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at her residence.
Per her wishes, her body will be cremated. A visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 and Friday, December 23, 2016 from 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Rita was born on February 24, 1935 in Nara Visa, New Mexico to Lester and June (Wright) Burkes. She was a member of the Crosswinds Baptist Church in Lovington, New Mexico.
She is survived by her four children, Kay & husband Sam, Vickye (Danny), Donna, and Rockye, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, and caretaker and granddaughter, Tami Phillips.
