Shirley Jean (Bearden) Hazard

Shirley Jean Hazard, age 76, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

A private graveside was held Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Dusty Lovell officiating.   Burial followed.  Arrangements were under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Shirley was born on February 12, 1945 in Sweetwater, Texas to Willie Lee and Gracie L. (Tidwell) Bearden.  She married Jack N. Hazard on July 24, 1968 in Granbury, Texas.  She worked as manager of the Social Butterfly before retiring.

She is survived by her son, Chad Lee Hazard of Sweetwater, Texas, sister, Sherry Clayton, brother-in-law, Bruce Clayton, of Sweetwater, Texas, and nephew, Terry Clayton of Bartonville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee & Gracie L. Bearden, husband, Jack N. Hazard, son, Chris Nelson Hazard, and brother, Billy Wayne Bearden.
