Thelma I. Baugh Snyder, age 95, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
Per her request, her body was cremated. A private graveside was held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Thelma was born on September 3, 1921 in Rogers, Texas to Doctor Othello and Alma Lucinda (Pressley) Baugh. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Joe Terry in Colorado City, Texas before retiring. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married William Derewood Snyder on June 12, 1948 in Hale Center, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter, Jann Dailey of Abilene, Texas, daughter-in-law, Mary Snyder of Sweetwater, Texas, sister, Patsy Scarbough and husband James of Abilene, Texas, brother, Rex Baugh and wife Pat of Tuilia, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doctor O'Thello and Alma Baugh, husband, William Derewood Snyder, son, Ronald Snyder, and two sisters.
