Veda was born on November 18, 1937 in Ranger, Texas, to Henry and Gladys Taylor. Veda lived a life rich in love, creativity, and simple joys.

For many years, Veda's warm smile was a fixture at Sweetwater High School where she worked in the cafeteria. Veda's true passions expressed a vibrant picture of a life well-lived. She found joy in painting, creating beautiful scenes that reflected her love of life and family. She loved the rhythm of country western dancing, the friendly competition of board games, and the thrill of treasure hunting at garage sales. At Christmas, her home was a wonderland of holiday decorations lovingly arranged to spread cheer to all who visited. Above all, she delighted in cooking delicious southern style comfort food for her family, filling their home with the sweet aromas of her love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Raye Wallace; her parents, Henry P. Taylor and Gladys Duggan Taylor; siblings, Ida Mae Breedan, Betty Lou Ahlfield, Vernon Odell Taylor, Kenneth Ray Taylor and son, Sandy Lee Brown.

Her legacy lives on through her son, Bobby Dale Wallace of Sweetwater, Texas; daughters, Deronda Owen (Don) of Tucson, AZ, Diana Bloodworth (Clay) of Sweetwater, TX, and Raye Gail Wallace of Lubbock, TX.

Six Grandchildren: Chad Lane (Mandi), Lewis Hearn (Ashley), Kristen Freije (Rick), Kendall Stuessel (Austin), Bryson Wallace (Elizabeth) and Dustin Brown (Rikki).

Fifteen Great Grandchildren: Ryan, Braden (Felicia), Kadence Lane and Koda Tinker, Danita Hernandez, Kassidy, Riley, Aliyah Hearn, Slayden, Adaline Wallace, Aubrey Stuessel, Madi, Peyton, Lincoln, Colby Brown.
