William Paul Burrow (Butch), age 77, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Silver Spring Health and Rehab Center in Abilene, Texas.
His wishes were to be cremated. His celebration of life will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Nolan County Coliseum Cantina. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Butch was born in Scurry County, Texas on June 22, 1948, to Juanita Faye (Coleman) Burrow and Clifford Delbert Burrow. Butch grew up in Wingate, Texas, and fought for the Army in the Vietnam War where he was part of the Top Tigers helicopter crew. He was a truck driver for 20+ years before he earned a degree in engineering at TSTC Sweetwater, where he then became a teacher.
Butch is survived by his sister, Marian Carter; six children, Betty Jean Gunset, Michael Claude Robbins, Tina Marie Oley, Angelia Jane Ragsdale, Joie Lee Robbins, and Samantha Ann Burrow. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and close family friends, Norman and Linda Ashford and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother.
