Carlos Elias Martinez, age 29, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his residence.

A rosary will be held at 7:00  P.M., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel, recited by Lupe Medellin. 

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A..M., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Carlos was born on April 17, 1989 in Sweetwater, Texas to Elias Martinez and Mary Rachel (Mendez) Martinez. He was a Catholic. He married Jazmeen Banda on March 15, 2015 in Midland, Texas. He worked as a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Jazmeen Banda Martinez of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Sefira Cortez, Rhya Martinez; three sons, Arian Martinez, Donovan Martinez, and Malachi Martinez; mother, Mary Rachel Sandoval and husband Juan of Sweetwater, Texas; father, Elias Martinez of Sweetwater, Texas, four brothers, Christopher Martinez, Tino Martinez, Cesar Martinez, and Christian Martinez; grandparents, Cresencio and Isabel Martinez of Sweetwater, Texas, and Francisca Martinez Lara of Mexico, several aunts, uncles, nieces, including special nieces, Alexis and Madison Martinez and nephews, including special nephew, Cesar Martinez, Jr., and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Constantio Martinez and Albert Mendez and several other family members.

Pallbearers will be Victor Martinez, Steven Martinez, Frankie Martinez, Cesar Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Constantino Martinez, Christian Martinez and Joe Gonzales.
