Daniel (Danny) Gordon Baker

Daniel  (Danny) Gordon Baker, age 69, of Coleman, Texas, (Former resident of Sweetwater, Texas), passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood in Brownwood, Texas. 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 6-8 PM.  

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Longworth Cemetery with Dennis Kiker officiating.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Daniel (Danny) Gordon Baker was born on September 12, 1952 to Robert Henry and Betty Jo (Cardwell) Baker.  He worked as a long haul trucker for many years.  

He is survived by his wife, Cyndy Brown Baker, daughters, Christi Diane Morgan, Geneva Beth Garcia, Collene Anne Baker, and Patricia Jones, sons, Justin Ray Baker, Damon Thompson, and Derrick Thompson, brother, Donny Baker and wife Tammy, sister, Deby Brite, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Jo Baker, wife, Patricia Baker, son, Michael Shane Baker, grandson, Jacob Van Pelt, and an infant brother.  

Pallbearers will be Terry Scherwitz, Donny Baker, Donald Baker, Robert Brite, Kevin Hillis, and Michael Hurd.  

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Baker, Jackson Jones, Sean Norman, and Willie Norman, Jr..
