Elsie Lee (Tucker) Donelson

Elsie Lee Donelson, age 91, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Sterling Hills Rehab.  

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Shiloh Cemetery in Shiloh, Tennessee with Harold Jones officiating.   Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth, Mississippi.  Local arrangements by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Elsie was born on October 10, l930 in Michie, Tennessee to George Hobert and Inas May (Carroll) Tucker.  She married Kenneth Duane Donelson on June 27, 1948 in Longmont, Colorado.  She worked as a school bus driver for Keller School District for many years before retiring.  She was a member of Fourth & Elm Church of Christ.  

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Jay and husband John of Sweetwater, Texas, son, Kenneth Donelson and wife Linda of Marion, Illinois, grandchildren, Bonnie Lee Jay and husband Roddy Alexander, Jared Jay, Clint Jay, Brandon Donelson, Amy Cole and husband Eric, and Lori Simmons and husband Darren, great grandchildren, Rye Donelson, Alexander Donelson, Kaylen Thomas and husband Broc, Cierra Jayne Simmons, Peyton Alexis Simmons, and Austin Cole, sister, Verdie Marie Barnes of Corinth, MS, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Hobert and Inas May Tucker,  husband, Kenneth Duane Donelson, daughter, Tania Lee Donelson, and four brothers and one sister.
