James McNeil Eivens

James McNeil Eivens, age 37, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas.  

His body was cremated.  A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Campgrounds Pavilion at Lake Sweetwater with Chaplain David Clippinger officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

James was born on December 2, 1985 in Sweetwater, Texas to Johnny and  Penny (Moore) Eivens.  He married Kristi Presley on April 26, 2015 at Lake Sweetwater, Texas.  He worked for Wilson Wrecker Service as a tow truck driver.  He was a Baptist and a lifetime resident of Sweetwater.  

He is survived by his wife, Kristi Eivens of Sweetwater, Texas, parents, Johnny & Penny Eivens of Sweetwater, Texas, two sisters, Misty Mosher and husband Anvil of Loraine, Texas and Jessica Eivens and fiance Brian Kirkland of Sweetwater, Texas, brother-in-laws, Stephen Presley and wife Melisa of Sweetwater, Texas and Brandon Presley of Sweetwater, Texas, sister-in-law, Brittany Presley and Kassidy of Sweetwater, Texas, mother-in-law, Kaye Blair of Sweetwater, Texas, grandmother, Joyce Moore of Sweetwater, Texas, grandmother-in-law, Connie Blair of Sweetwater, Texas and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.D. and Maxine Moore, and Bill and Maudie Eivens, and uncle, Robert Moore.
