James Sims Obituary

James Donald Sims, age 61, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Hendrick Hospice Care Center in Abilene, Texas.

His body will be cremated. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

James was born on March 10, 1961 in San Diego, California to Junior David and Carol Lee (Lindbergh) Sims. He worked as a cook for LaQuinta Inn for many years.

He is survived by his parents, Junior David Sims of Florida and Carol Lee Younger of Louisiana, brothers, David Sims of Sweetwater, Texas, Bobby Ray Sims of Florida, Junior (J.R.) Sims of Florida, and sister, Debbie Boyd of Roanoke, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and numerous uncles.
