Johnny M. Gonzales

Johnny M Gonzales, age 62, passed away early Friday morning, January 31, 2020 in his loving wife’s arms. 

Per his wishes, his body was cremated. A private memorial service has been scheduled and arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 

He will be reunited in Heaven with open wings by his favorite angels Christobal & Guadalupe Gonzales, whom raised him from birth.  God is getting a hard worker on his team.  Johnny overcame  obstacles in life and through hard work and dedication he was able to achieve success and build his own business. He worked at USG from 1977 to 2000, owned Discount Auto Sales for 10 years and since 1998 owned and operated Lamar Auto Sales along with his wife Yolanda. He was always willing to work with and help provide for those in need; towing their vehicles and fixing them, touching the lives of many with his generosity and kind heart. Johnny worked hard to provide for a family dearly loved. He enjoyed spending time and reading to his grandchildren, watching cartoons and movies. He enjoyed traveling with his best friend and wife Yolanda, going to casinos playing Blackjack and all kinds of card games. He also loved his furry companions Zima Jo, Carson and Ben. Johnny taught his children and grandchildren many things that they will cherish forever. 

He is loved  by his wife Yolanda Gonzales, 3 sons Zac, Zane (Susan Gonzales) and Kevin Gonzales and Lisa Sheffield, whom he saw more as a daughter than a friend.  Johnny was attentive with his grandchildren Hannah, Halle, Avery and Kathryn, that he adored.  He took a piece of our hearts with him and he left his heart with us.  He will be missed every day and like Johnny said, “AND THAT’S THAT!”
