Jose Luis "Louie" Hernandez

Jose Luis "Louie" Hernandez , age 60, of Forney, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Travis Farr officiating.  . Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Louie was born on January 23, 1960 in Manhattan, New York to Jose and Jovita (Luna) Hernandez. While stationed as an U.S. Air Force Crew Chief, he married Sharon Angela Foley on May 31, 1988 in Abilene, Texas. Not only was he a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, but also an accomplished artist. He was also a wafer fab operator for Texas Instruments for many years. Above all, Louie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Angela Hernandez of Forney, Texas, daughter, Meagan and husband Jedidiah Freeman of Quinlan, Texas, mother-in-law, Sue Way of Sweetwater, Texas, his three faithful sidekicks (grandchildren), Kylie Freeman, Bentley Freeman, and Emily Freeman, sisters, Marilyn Orozco and Levia Hernandez, both of Florida, and Blanca Hernandez of New York and brother, Joey Hernandez of New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Hernandez and Jovita Luna, and his sister, Magdalena Hernandez.
