Lester was born April 26, 1965 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Lester Holsey and Carol Jean Cooper Holsey.

He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1983.  In 1986 he married Jackie Nichols.  They had three beautiful children: April D'nece Holsey Gibson, Leslie Ann Holsey Bellavia and Alyson Paige Holsey Goodwin.

In 1989 he began working for the Sweetwater Police Department and graduated the police academy in 1990, becoming a certified police officer.  While at the department, he enjoyed working on the tactical team, being a field training officer, firearm instructor and shift superviser.  In 2000 he left the police department to start a new position as the chief of police in Valley Mills, Texas.  During his career he also served as the chief in Nolanville Texas.  He retired from law enforcement in 2012.

His loves were his grandchildren!  He was recently blessed with a new one, whom he loved rocking and spoiling.  He never met a stranger.  He is already greatly missed.

Surviving him are his three children:  April Gibson of Killeen, Leslie Bellavia and husband Josh of Killeen and Alyson Goodwin and husband Kentrell of Nolanville.  He leaves behind six grandchildren: Christian Bellavia, Michael Bellavia, Adalyn "muffin" Gibson, Josiah "honyaught" Gibson, Jocelyn "peanut" Gibson and KJ (boogie) "little buddy" Goodwin.  He also leaves a brother, Tim Holsey and wife Heather of Sweetwater and a sister-in-law, Angela Tidwell  and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester Holsey and Carol Jean Cooper Holsey and a brother Maxwell Holsey.
