Mae (Tovias) Royal

Mae Tovias Royal, age 68, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her residence.  

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Javier  Franco officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Mae was born on April 24, 1953 in San Angelo, Texas to Manuel R. and Delfina (Caballero) Tovias.  She retired after working over thirty years  for various hospitals and nursing homes as a Registered nurse, which was her dream career.  She was a member of Calvario Baptist Church.  She married Holly Hay on December 19, 2017 in Sweetwater, Texas.  

Her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren was unconditional.  She never met a stranger and loved being surrounded by people.  She was a mother to all who needed her.  

She is survived by her spouse, Holly Hay of Sweetwater, Texas, eleven children, thirty two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, (G.G.),   two brothers, Johnny Tovias and Tony Tovias.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
