Margaret Elizabeth (Beth) Densmore, age 100, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Sterling Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M..
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Beth was born on September 10, 1922, in Cameron, Texas to Pellie and Ruby (Gotcher) Paddock. She married Dr. Al Densmore on July 30, 1943 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Densmore of Houston, Texas, three sons, David Densmore and wife Sharon of Elgin, Texas, Don Densmore and wife Klaudia of Sweetwater, Texas, and Greg Densmore and wife Alise of Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Jamie Densmore, David Densmore, Miriam Tirtilli, Josh Densmore, Michael Smith and Scott Smith, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Al Densmore, parents, Pellie and Ruby Paddock, granddaughter, Tabitha Leah Densmore, two sisters, Tula Mae Pinkard, and Hazel Palone, and two brothers, Bryson Paddock, and Pat Paddock.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Stein, Glen Bedgood, Michael Hale, Stan Tucker, David Welch, and Robert Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Elston, and Waymon Sowell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 213 East Third Street, Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
