Margie Landeros Correa, age 80, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her residence.
A prayer service will be held 6:30 P.M., Friday, November 26, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M. recited by Deacon David Mendez.
Holy Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo Nalugon officating. Burial will follow at Mitchell County Cemetery in Colorado City, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Margie was born on November 27, 1940 in El Paso, Texas to Jose Landeros, Sr. and Dolores Ybarra Landeros. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse for many years before retiring. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. She had been a resident of Sweetwater since 1965, coming from Colorado City. She was the nurse of the family and a loving caregiver to every person and animal she met.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Correa of Sweetwater, Texas, three grandsons, Jason Peed, Kyle Peed and Ryan Peed, all of Kyle, Texas, sister, Maria Moreno and husband Alfred of Denton, Texas, brothers, Susano Landeros and Ignacio Landeros, both of Sweetwater, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose & Dolores Landeros, brother, Jose Landeros, Jr. and sister, Adela Villa.
Pallbearers will be Robert Moreno, Tommy Moreno, Jeff Greiner, Jason Peed, Kyle Peed, and Ryan Peed.
