Marie (Woodard) Kidd

Marie Woodard Kidd, age 98, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Wisteria Place.    

A private family burial will be held followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Blake Westbrook officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Marie was born on November 28, 1923 in Roscoe, Texas to James (Jim) and Minnie Elizabeth (King) Woodard.  She married Stelvin Kidd on August 25, 1956 in her parent's home in the Highland Community.  She graduated from McMurray University with her Bachelor's Degree in Education.  She was a Baptist.  

She is survived by her son, Tim Kidd and wife Robin of New Braunfels, Texas, daughter, Beth Quinney and husband Mark of Abilene, Texas, grandchildren, Shelby Sharp and husband Blake of New Braunfels, Texas, Seth Kidd of New Braunfels, Texas, and Katy Henderson of Abilene, Texas, and great grandchildren, Jaxon and Evelyn Sharp.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, James (Jim) & Minnie Woodard, and husband Stelvin Kidd.
