Mary Ann (Gilbreath) Wright

Mary Ann Wright, age 85, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Hoyt Place.
  
A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Mary Ann was born on January 20, 1937  in Navarro County, Texas to Thomas Walter and Opal (Hatley) Gilbreath.  She married Sam Wright on November 30, 1956 in Tuxedo, Texas.  She worked as a secretary for First Christian Church for many years.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and also First Christian Church and a member of Home Demonstration Club.    Mary Ann  loved to sew and quilt and was very active in several  quilting clubs .  She also was a volunteer delivering meals for SNAP.  She loved her family and friends.   

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Lee and husband Mike of Sweetwater, Texas, Susan SoRelle and husband Kenneth of Sweetwater, Texas, and  Becky McGill of Lubbock, Texas, one son, Bryan Wright of San Angelo, Texas, five grandchildren, Charley Stracener, Jessica Kahsar, Tara Rains, Chance Frizzell and Nolan Frizzell, six great grandchildren, Brycen Mann, Hunter Frizzell , Mason Frizzell, Olivia Frizzell, McKenzie Benham and Keating Kahsar, brother, Glen Gilbreath and wife Mary Lou of Stamford, Texas and sister, Sandra White and husband David of Crockett, Texas.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam Wright and granddaughter, Amanda Jo (Amy) Mann.
