Patsy June Boiles, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M..
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 18, 2023 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Patsy was born on June 17, 1940 in Roscoe, Texas, to Wallace Eugene Kirkman and Myrtle Lee (Finley) Kirkman. She married R. L. Boiles, Jr. on January 5, 1959 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a 1958 graduate of Newman High School. Patsy worked for Walls Industries for many years as a supervisor and then worked for Nolan County-City Library before retiring. She was a life long resident of Sweetwater, Texas and a Baptist. Patsy was the matriarch of the Boiles family. Family was everything to her. She loved and cared for her puppy dogs and they loved and protected her.
She is survived by her husband, R.L. Boiles, Jr. of Sweetwater, Texas, daughter, Melinda Dalton and husband Paul of Sweetwater, Texas, son, Donnie Boiles and wife Sherry of Sweetwater, Texas, five grandchildren, James David Dalton, Joey Dalton, Brian Boiles, Brice Boiles, and Brent Boiles, three great grandchildren, Brady Boiles, Sage June Marie Dalton, and Cambree Boiles, and two sisters, Dolores Shelton and Julia Glover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace (Kirk) Kirkman and Myrtle McClure, and brother, J.W. (Dent) Kirkman.
Pallbearers will be James David Dalton, Joey Dalton, Brian Boiles, Brice Boiles, Heath Spencer, and Ronnie Boiles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Dalton, Gary Spencer, and Brent Boiles.
